GAA Conference 2015:
Crises: reconfigurations of life, power and worlds
How to get there & where to stay
All conference venues are located in the city center of Marburg within walking distance. From Marburg main railway station ("Hauptbahnhof" or "Hbf") you easily reach the city center by pubilc busses No. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7. When you get off at bus stop "Stadthalle" you are right in front of the auditorium building ("Hörsaalgebäude"). This is the main conference venue, where all plenary sessions and workshops take place.
The nearest international airport is Frankfurt Rhein-Main. From the airport's regional railway station ("Regionalbahnhof") regional trains leave regularly, mostly via Frankfurt main railway station ("Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof" or "Hbf"). A regional train ("S-Bahn" or "RE" or "RB" trains) needs around one hour and a half to Marburg (one way € 15,00). Fast trains (as IC or ICE trains) will be more expensive.
For hotel booking you may contact the Marburg Tourism & Marketing Co. Please, let them know that you are a participant of the DGV conference.
